I have main coon ragdoll mixed cat that does something like this. If I get up early in the morning, she'll run into my bathroom to greet me. But then she starts licking the bathroom cabinets, I think it has something to do with my perfume and hairspray XD

Oh my GOSH! One of my dogs does this EXACT thing! He's a nasty little gremlin. I put on a natural oil blend insect repellent to keep mosquitos away, and he just comes along and licks it off.

Be happy your little Shih Tzu isn't a Husky instead. My big ol' boy Cherokee likes to bite at me (playfully), crush me, and well.. he's a big old sissy when it comes to fireworks.

He also stays at my side whenever I'm sleeping, either on the floor or on my bed..or on the floor by the couch if I'm sleeping there.

My feet hurt too damn much but thank chemistry for muscle lotions
Until the tiny dog thinks its time to lick your feet because thats what she does.
