@Margrethe, read the Book of Esther from start to finish.
But to be concise, this is the run down.
Essentially, Esther is brought by her adopted father Mordecai to the palace, keeping mum she is a Jew, charms King Xerxes to put to death Hamon, an anti-Semitic genocidal maniac hiding in his court and she and Mordecai spend their remainder of their lives in the King's Palace. Some say Hamon and his 10 sons' deaths were reason enough to celebrate the Jewish faith, with some converting to Judaism.
What would be unfortunate about a biblical story? Dude, have you read the Pentateuch? There are so many great stories. I'll never forget the talking donkey miracle.
Exactly the same as...what? Other women in the movie? Or other Disney princesses?
Only Anna, Elsa, and their mother look similar because they are related. Every other woman such as the servants and party goers look way different.
I thought it was the most AWESOME thing that the dancing ladies during the coronation party all had a variety of body shapes and were not all generic-thin shaped. I love, love, love Pixar for doing that!
@longtail4711 Except it wasn't Pixar, it was WDAS (Walt Disney Animation Studios). Disney set up their own CGI studio before buying Pixar, and still run it as a separate entity.

I think Anna and Elsa look the way they do is because their designs were basically made to be made into toys.
