I once did a picture/weave of different relations between the norse gods, and I think I chose purple for conflict/hate. Loki was connected with purple lines to almost everyone.
Sleipnir most likely got his eight legs after Loki. Loki is thought to have been the spider god in older germanic paganism (Odin is probably a merge of the horse, raven and wolf). Also, "Loke" (or other variations) can literally mean spider in various scandinavian dialects. In faroese for example "lokkanet" means 'spiderweb'.
Ah, Loki's brood with Angrboda. Hel is my favorite Norse deity. Also, don't make Nari and Vali so cute. Nari's intestines were used to bond Loki to the rock after Baldur's death, and Vali was turned into a wolf.
