Folklore and Myths

A bunch of random folklore and mythology drawings.

Big drawing is an oni in a priests robes, which used to be a very popular motive in Japan.

Little guy next to his head is a rakshasa from India.

Then there's a blue oni and a troll hanging out with each other.

A witch using a lantern man to heat her cauldron.

And at the bottom is a limping devil, a somewhat sad figure from folklore. He tries to be a trickster, but is never successful, and he can't physically hurt people either because he is too weak.

This is the sort of things I like to draw to relax these days.

Wait, I still don't get the difference between a rakshasa and a yaksha.
