I haven't gotten tested yet, but I think I might have the second type? I struggle with phone calls because the static is louder than the person, and ordering food at a fast food place is difficult if they have noicy machines going in the background. Also talking with someone while walking by roads is nearly impossible, all the static, white noise and pretty much everything outside just drowns peoples voices. My fathers side of the family has some issues with hearing, but mostly the men, and usually not til theyre like in their thirties. And Im pretty sure thats the first type they struggle with.
