@BethMit You just described my father to a T. And it is so much worse with background noise! He has actually spoken so loudly that I've winced in real physical pain. And when I said "Please lower your voice! I can hear you just fine" he said "Oh. I didn't think you'd be able to hear me." Yeah. The entire restaurant heard you. Dead people heard you. We have a hand signal we use in our family to indicate that he needs to lower the volume of his voice. But what else can we do? He can't hear himself, and he doesn't purposefully shout.
