The thing about the eagle's story is that upon being exposed to his natural habitat, the eagle would feel comfortable for the first time and not want to go back to the chicken run. Though the people who raised him might register as something like fond memories, his predatory nature cannot be stifled (especially as a bird which runs mostly on instinct). In fact, I doubt that he would have been able to live peacefully with a flock of domestic chickens without causing problems... Okay, now I'm just nitpicking, but what I'm trying to say is that upbringing is definitely a big factor in a person's life, but when it comes to allegory in the animal kingdom, only so much abstract thinking can be applied before the laws of nature reassert themselves.
