Can I suggest reading 'Herb-Witch' by Elizabeth McCoy if you want a great story that has similar themes? With things needing to be boiled at noon, steeped in moonlight, or chopped with a tarnished silver knife for the potions to work. It even has preparations that require menstrual blood (thankfully not fed to unsuspecting people though), with many reviewers reacting much the same way as the new age witch above (which is both understandable and hilarious).
I know this is a bit like mentioning a cooking themed book when someone asked for a cook book, so feel free to ignore my suggestion if you wanted the Heksens Håndbog specifically.
