My understanding of Zeus in myth:
A: he really was that charismatic
B: most of his lovers were depicted as consenting, but Zeus didn't bother to make sure. Think "I didn't bother to listen to you over the sound of how awesome I am". This was pretty much expected of Greek gods [and pretty much any other gods: did Jehovah bother asking Mary for consent?] and I doubt Apollo could have imagined anyone not jumping for a chance at him. You *really* don't want to know what happened to anyone who [tried to] turned down a goddess.
C: Girls? Zeus was into girls, boys, men, women, centaurs, reasonably attractive foliage... I remember making a joke about Zeus being tri-sexual: animal, vegetable, mineral.
