Ok then, how's this. The eyes are on the palms of its hands like that monster in Pan's Labyrinth, and its entire head splits in half as one enormous mouth with multiple rows of teeth. There are no documented pictures of it with it's eyes or mouth open because... there are no SURVIVORS who saw such things.
